Paris:
A climber scaled the north face of the Eiffel Tower in Paris on Sunday, the final day of the Olympics, earlier than he was intercepted by police mid-way up, police stated.
“At 2.45 pm, a person was seen climbing the Eiffel Tower. The police instantly intervened and arrested the person,” a police spokesman stated.
Movies posted on social media confirmed the bare-chested climber skirting the Olympic rings as he made his method up with out ropes.
In a single, the grinning climber could be heard saying to bystanders “bloody heat, innit?” as he’s escorted off the viewing platform by police.
The tower operator didn’t reply to a request for remark.
