Corbin Burnes fanned 10 in six innings, Gabriel Moreno had three hits and scored three runs, and the Arizona Diamondbacks prolonged the Colorado Rockies’ distress with an 8-0 victory on Friday in Phoenix.
Burnes (3-1) gave up two hits and walked three whereas extending his streak of consecutive scoreless innings to 16 over three begins. Three Arizona relievers accomplished the two-hit shutout.
The Rockies fell to 7-37, the worst begin within the fashionable period (since 1901). They misplaced their fourth straight beneath interim supervisor Warren Schaeffer, promoted from third base coach when Bud Black was fired on Sunday, and have misplaced 12 of 13 total.

Burnes threw seven scoreless innings in a 3-0 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers final Saturday. He has not been scored upon for the reason that New York Mets’ Mark Vientos hit a bases-empty homer within the third inning of Arizona’s 4-3 victory on April 30.
Rockies left-hander Carson Palmquist (0-1) gave up 5 runs on six hits in 4 innings in his main league debut after being promoted from Triple-A Albuquerque earlier within the day. He walked one and didn’t have a strikeout.
The D-backs took a 2-0 lead within the second. Naylor singled and stole second earlier than Moreno drew a one-out stroll. Tim Tawa doubled in Naylor, and Moreno scored on Perdomo’s groundout.
Carroll doubled, stole third and scored on Suarez’s sacrifice fly for a 3-0 lead within the third.
The Rockies had their greatest likelihood after they loaded the bases within the fourth. Tovar singled and Goodman walked to open the inning, and Michael Toglia drew a two-out stroll. Burnes struck out Mickey Moniak to finish the inning.
