Following a courtroom order that blocks Apple from taking a fee on purchases made exterior the App Retailer, Epic Video games CEO Tim Sweeney says on X that the corporate plans to convey Fortnite again to iOS within the US “subsequent week.”
The app hasn’t been out there on iOS within the US since August 2020, when Apple kicked it off the App Retailer for implementing Epic’s personal in-app fee system in violation of Apple’s guidelines. Since then, Apple and Epic have been embroiled in an ongoing authorized battle, together with a ruling extra in Apple’s favor in 2021 and as we speak’s ruling that may be a main victory for Epic.
