Detroit Lions standout linebacker Alex Anzalone sustained a damaged left forearm throughout the second quarter of Sunday’s 52-6 steamrolling of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Lions coach Dan Campbell stated Anzalone will miss six to eight weeks. That timetable would permit Anzalone to return for Detroit (9-1) by the beginning of the postseason.

The lack of Anzalone is not the primary large blow for the Detroit protection this season. The unit misplaced star defensive finish Aidan Hutchinson to a badly damaged leg in mid-October.
