Los Angeles:
The Academy of Movement Image Arts & Sciences has postponed the announcement of this yr’s Oscar nominations for a second time due to the continued wildfires in Los Angeles, organizers mentioned on Monday.
The nominations for the movie trade’s highest honors will now be introduced on January 23. They initially had been set for January 17 after which moved to January 19.
“Because of the still-active fires within the Los Angeles space, we really feel it’s mandatory to increase our voting interval and transfer the date of our nominations announcement to permit further time for our members,” Academy CEO Invoice Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang mentioned in a press release.
