Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander Daulton Jefferies was positioned on the 15-day injured checklist on Saturday on account of discomfort in his pitching elbow.
In a corresponding transfer, right-hander Ryder Ryan was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis.
Jefferies, 28, has a 6.30 ERA in 4 reduction appearances since becoming a member of the Pirates in a Could 10 commerce with the San Francisco Giants.
