Wake Forest is hiring Washington State coach Jake Dickert to fill the emptiness left by Dave Clawson’s resignation, a number of shops reported on Wednesday.
Dickert, 41, is 23-20 with the Cougars since taking up halfway by way of the 2021 season. That features an 8-4 file this season heading into the Dec. 27 Vacation Bowl towards Syracuse.
Clawson, 57, stepped down on Monday after 11 seasons and 7 bowl berths with the Demon Deacons, who completed 4-8 for the second straight 12 months in 2024.
