Russia Says It Has Retaken 2 More Villages From Ukraine In Border Region Of Kursk

Moscow:

Russia stated Saturday it had retaken two extra villages from Ukrainian forces in its Kursk border area the place it has launched an offensive to wrest again seized territory.

Moscow has pushed this week to retake a big a part of the land that Ukraine initially captured in its western Kursk area.

The Russian defence ministry stated troops took management over the villages of Zaoleshenka and Rubanshchina — north and west of the city of Sudzha, the primary city that Moscow reclaimed this week.

Russian chief Vladimir Putin had, a day earlier, known as on embattled Ukrainian troops in Kursk to “give up”, whereas his US counterpart Donald Trump urged the Kremlin to spare their lives.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated Friday that the scenario in Kursk is “clearly very tough.”

The Ukrainian military on Saturday printed a map on social media that confirmed its troops had retreated west in direction of the border.
