High-seeded Diana Shnaider of Russia superior to the ultimate of the Hungarian Grand Prix with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Germany’s Eva Lys on Saturday in Budapest.
Shnaider, 20, saved all three break factors she confronted and benefited from 4 double faults by her foe to dispatch Lys in 1 hour and 25 minutes.
Shnaider will bid for her third title of the yr on Sunday when she faces unseeded Belarus native Aliaksandra Sasnovich, who rallied to a 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 win over Anna Karolina Schmiedlova of Slovakia.
Sasnovich overcame 17 double faults and bounced again from a 5-2 deficit within the third set to jolt Schmiedlova in 2 hours and 46 minutes.

High-seeded Qinwen Zheng of China recorded a 7-5, 6-4 semifinal victory over fourth-seeded Diane Parry of France to achieve the ultimate in Italy.
Zheng will face second-seeded Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic within the championship match. Zheng is the defending champ.
Zheng saved 3 of 4 break factors and received 84.8 p.c (28 of 33) of her first-serve factors. Parry saved 2 of 5 break factors and received 69.4 p.c (25 of 36) of her first-serve factors.
Muchova defeated Romania’s Irina-Camelia Begu 6-1, 6-1 in her semifinal match. Muchova had a 4-0 edge in aces over Begu, the 2022 champ.
